The Bavarian Sea

With an area of 79.9 km², Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria and the third largest lake in Germany. And what would a "Bavarian Sea" be without islands? The Chiemsee Islands are the smallest municipality in Bavaria, and yet one of the most famous and popular.

Enjoy the crossing on the steamboat and visit the islands, Fraueninsel or Herreninsel, with the famous Castle Herrenchiemsee. A welcome distraction from the hectic daily work.

Riding up the Wendelstein

Experience the ride to the famous Wendelstein with your colleagues. For over 100 years, the rack railway in Brannenburg has been carrying visitors to the mountain station at 1270 meters altitude. The 25-minute ride on the scenic mountain route is an unforgettable experience by itself.

The Wendelsteinbahn is a traveling museum, many parts are still original from 1911. On special occasions, such as moonshine rides, the historic train sets are used.
